Amazing Pro Video began as Marc Friedlander Productions in the late 1970’s. Upon moving to Southern California from Cincinnati, Ohio, Marc studied filmmaking at the USC Cinema Department during the same era that produced legendary movie-makers George Lucas, Ron Howard, Tracy Tormé, and John Milius. In 1980, Marc abruptly switched to the emerging technology of video production when opportunities arose to create his own projects. From 1982-1984, Marc Friedlander was the Producer/Director of South Coast Live, a weekly cable TV program presenting up-and-coming music acts, as well as interviews with famous musicians, such as Dick Dale, Billy Preston, and Pete Best of The Beatles. This show gave Marc the chance to videotape bands in two distinct formats: at a live concert event onstage and the more creative ‘music video’. With the skills Marc honed by producing events, concerts, interviews, creating countless MTV-style music videos, and producing a weekly television program, he decided to make another abrupt career turn.

Just over 20 years ago, Marc realized the most effective way to utilize his artistic video skills was to specialize in videotaping weddings. A wedding videographer’s job is to document a live event with as much artistic flare as the bride and groom request. In the last two decades, Amazing Pro Video has provided coverage at all types of weddings: indoor & outdoor, large & small, high-end & lower budgets, thematic, church, gazebo, beach, Catholic, Jewish, Indian, Persian, Greek Orthodox, and just about any other type of wedding you can imagine. We also cover live events, such as Bar Mitzvahs, Quinceaneras, speeches, performances, conventions, and sports. Well over 15 years ago Amazing Pro Video pioneered the concept of Photo Montages. Clients deliver photos, home movies, music, and other production items to the office. We digitize everything, throw in transitions, filters, image enhancements, special effects, and we edit together what is sure to become a valuable family heirloom….an artistic chronicle of a person’s (or couple’s) life. We produce Tribute Videos, Memorial Videos, Video Wills, video duplication, and occasionally we’ll do Corporate work (such as training videos, commercials, promotional DVDs/CD-ROMs, and legal videos).

Even though we’ve been in business for over 20 years now, we constantly strive to update and improve our production techniques, equipment, and services. We belong to international wedding industry associations, go to wedding videography conventions, participate in internet training, and are regular participants in major video production discussion forums.

We hired a talented, dedicated staff with diverse backgrounds to help us produce a wide variety of work. Amazing Pro Video is proud to report that our entire current staff has been with us from the very beginning over 20 years ago! Mitch is a performer from Maryland who became a video and movie director in the 80’s. He has entered several film festivals with his original work (musicals, comedy, documentary). Scott is a pilot from Georgia who has worked on a number of camera crews for network television. He’s been a close friend of Marc since their days at USC; and Scott is very experienced at weddings. He has wonderful interviewing skills if you’re looking for interactive guest comments. A native of Cincinnati, Lori is a veteran of independent films, as a performer and make-up artist. Marc trained Lori to develop into a talented wedding videographer in the mid-80’s. Her ability to see wedding videography from a woman’s perspective is invaluable whether working with a crew or by herself. Many years of working together helps us anticipate each other’s moves on the job. Five years ago we added Phillip to our crew of independent videographers. His experience goes further back than the rest of our staff. He started shooting video professionally in New York and is our most technically-skilled videographer. His steady, flowing camera work is distinctive.

Thanks to modern technology, we can shoot weddings with the highest quality digital video cameras and edit footage on a state-of-the-art computer system. We can take a few of your photographs and turn them into layered 3-D images that we can ‘travel through’. These days couples are choosing to enhance their wedding video with several Exciting Add-Ons. Wedding receptions oftentimes feature video projected onto a big screen with sound coming out of the DJ’s/band’s speakers. These productions can be romantic and funny Love Stories, cinematic Bridal Elegance videos, skits, or unforgettable music videos we can produce with you in advance to entertain your reception guests. We can even bring the screen and projector.
